SoonerQuit for Providers

OHCA will be presenting a webinar titled "SoonerQuit for Providers" on Thursday, February 20th at 2:30 PM. This webinar is for Practitioners, case managers, care coordinators.

This class will discuss the Tobacco Cessation billing components, referrals to the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline and the SoonerQuit Practice Facilitation program.

SoonerCare Pharmacy Program Updates

OHCA will be presenting a webinar titled "SoonerCare Pharmacy Program Updates" on Tuesday, February 25th at 2:30 PM. The target audience will be providers/prescribers and pharmacy personnel.

This class will supply providers with a high level overview of the OHCA pharmacy program. The presentation will have an emphasis on prescription drug abuse in the state, morphine milligram equivalent (MME), and medication assisted treatment (MAT) changes. In addition, the prior authorization process, drug rebate program, and other pharmacy initiatives will be discussed.

Oklahoma SoonerCare 101

Oklahoma SoonerCare 101 is comprised of two classes to assist providers in understanding some of the general SoonerCare policies and how to bill claims to the SoonerCare program through the OHCA Provider Portal. This training is not limited to a specific provider type, yet serves as a general overview of all aspects of the Oklahoma SoonerCare program. These two classes are offered in Oklahoma City and Tulsa:

  1. Introduction to Oklahoma SoonerCare: discusses covered services for adults and children, some additional programs that are supported by OHCA and general policy information designed to educate office staff about billing and procedural aspects of Oklahoma SoonerCare.
  2. SoonerCare Provider Portal – Medicaid on the Web: covers how to log into the portal, how to check member eligibility, the process of claim submission, claim inquiries, prior authorization submission/inquiries and other aspects of the SoonerCare Provider Portal.

Oklahoma SoonerCare Webinar  

We will be offering the Introduction to Oklahoma SoonerCare class via webinar for providers unable to attend on-site training in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. The SoonerCare Provider Portal – Medicaid on the Web training is offered on-site only at this time and will not be a part of this webinar. Please register for the date that works best with your schedule:  March 5, July 9, September 3 or December 3 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Focus Forward 

The Focus Forward Oklahoma Program is working to address issues related to access and utilization of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC) through policy, education, and communication. Focus Forward Oklahoma continues to provide no-cost LARC training to Oklahoma providers, and we’ll offer training for clinical support staff this spring. Trainings sessions are tentatively scheduled for Spring 2020 as outlined below. A registration link will be provided here when registration is available.
